Today was a breeze for me, my husband not so much. I had lentils in the morning, and that helped me feel full until lunch.
Breakfast:
1 egg with eggwhites, turkey sausage, and lentils. Coffee with little cream.
Lunch:
Love, love, loved it! Stir-fry Chicken, lots and lots of chicken, lots of cabbage, bean sprouts, spinach, hot sauce and sesame seeds. mmm
Dinner:
Pollo loco, pollo bowl with chicken and beans and some green avocado salsa. And some unsweetened iced tea. Only had these meals, there was no need for snacks, I was full all day! Yay, does that mean I am getting used to it?
My distraction last night .. cake pops! Needed to make some for work. Love baking, this the first time I've baked and not gorged in whatever it is I made. (pat on my back) Saved some for cheat day ... whats worse that hearing from your coworkers how good they are when you can't eat them?
How about baking some chocolate croissants? 1: my husband would love me more (that's his #1 crave) but 2: nothing is better than chocolate.
Cheat day Saturday can't wait ... countdown begin.
Although, I haven't lost any weight .. bummed out a little. No worries chocolate will make me happy come Saturday after breakfast!

Day 3: Asparagus anyone?
I usually cheat in the first 3 days of the diet. HA! Not this girl. However, I--I mean we had a horrible night sleep. Kept waking up ... not sure why. I blamed it on my little ones (kitties)
This is the best picture I have of them together Bagheera (she's the black one) and Cachun (he's the constant puurr) But I am sure they make the same noise every night ... something about this diet is making us not sleep as sound as we used to. Anyway, hope it gets better.
Breakfast:
3 total eggs for the both of us plus tons of egg whites. Asparagus, lean turkey sausage for me, smoked salmon for my husband. Organic coffee and 1tbs. cream each and for me cinnamon.
MISTAKE: no beans :(
Snack:
I was hungry a couple hours later, stuffed my face asparagus. Held me until lunch time.
Lunch:
For lunch, oh yeah! Pollo Loco, best beans love the serano peppers. Beans with a lot of chicken (one ate side, saved the other) Added some of the avocado salsa and some unsweetened tea. Eesh, was that good!
Snack
Ahh ... some more asparagus, and leftover chicken from lunch.
Dinner
Gotta pat myself on the back. This was awesome, some flap steak, salad, broccoli (me), sauteed onion, mushroom, and asparagus (my husband) and some green avocado salsa. With some sparkling water. Notice, no legumes. Going to try that for a while, maybe that's what kept me from sleeping well, having a full tummy.
Feel pretty good after this meal. I hope I stop craving the evil evil sugars. Discovered Trader Joe's cocoa nibs ... incase I really crave the sweets :) a little bitter but great, only had a couple they are miniscule!

Day 2: Piece of cake?
Survived Day 1 ... A little grouchy at the end of the day, not just me but my husband too. Assuming that is normal because of the bad, yet so good white carbs on my end ... oh and the fruit! Not to mention Greek yogurt! Enough with the taunting. Writing down those things I am craving ... come Saturday, go in my belly!
Quick pat on my back .... I have an addiction to Spiced Chile Dried Mango (Trader Joe's) ... so tempted yesterday--Didn't eat it. Pushed aside the thought of "oh, just a little won't hurt" HA! That little turns into the entire bag.
Weighed in last night ... at 151lbs.
One word, depressing.
Chest:35
Waist:31
Hips:42
Today
Breakfast this morning consisted of 1 egg and lots egg whites, Turkey sausage and coffee with one tablespoon of cream (Yes, I measured it--my husband not very thrilled) and added some cinnamon. Surprisingly, really enjoyed the cinnamon
I need to get in the habit of taking pictures of the meals before I eat them. According to Ferriss ... people who did this loss more weight. We shall see!
So for lunch ... had some mixed greens (no dressing) easy, I never really liked dressing (other than Togo's Asian), had a rotisserie chicken breast and loads of pinto beans, with some green salsa.
It was pretty good, I at least really like beans. My husband not so much ... packed him some extra spinach and chicken :)
We are allowed to have snacks ... mmm
3pm snack ... cucumber with chile, salt and lime. (still worried about cucumber being bad)
For dinner ... El Pollo Loco. Not too shabby, Pollo bowl (beans, green avocado salsa and lots of chicken breast).
I feel stuffed! Day two down :) piece of cake indeed, too bad it's not in my belly ;)

Day 1 of The 4-Hour Body
So, the 4-hour body ... courtesy of my husband. Never realized diet was such a difficult thing to follow. I've always been the type to eat whatever it is that I felt like eating, whenever I wanted and maintain my weight ... then the real world was introduced.
Working at a desk ... one word--Sucks! You sit, you eat, you sit, you eat. That is just a recipe for disaster. Clearly.
Over the past say 4.5 years .. started and finished college and started working ... no "time" for working out. HA! Well gained 20 lbs ... went up and down always steadily. But that's the past now ... New beginning!
Day 1 ... no carbs :(
no fruit :(
no dairy :(
All I am doing is looking forward to this Saturday ... when I get to eat whatever my little heart desires!
Has to be easier when the other person you live with is planning to do the same for the same reason.
Will do before pictures and measurements today :) wish me luck!
